Zillah Fire Department in Zillah, Washington, received a donation from Wilbur-Ellis to fund the purchase of two thermal cameras that are installed on rescuers’ air packs. The thermal cameras will also be used in the surrounding communities as needed. When first entering a fire, it is very smoky with limited visibility, and these new cameras have begun offering better visual capabilities to first responders. The fire department couldn’t be more grateful for the donation and the new addition to its equipment resources it provides in helping find victims in burning buildings while keeping their firefighters safe.
