On April 25, 2006, the Board of Directors of Wilbur-Ellis Company elected Mr. John P. Thacher as President/CEO. Mr. Thacher has served as Executive Vice President during the last year, taking on the day-to-day operating responsibilities of the Company. Mr. Herbert B. Tully has been elected Chairman and is replacing recently deceased Mr. Brayton Wilbur, Jr.
Mr. William R. Sawyers was elected Vice President and General Counsel, replacing Mr. Robert L. Schmalz.
Mr. Bruce L. Beretta and Mrs. Judith F. Wilbur were elected new Board members. Founded in 1921 and with total sales exceeding $1.6 billion, Wilbur-Ellis Company specializes in the marketing, distribution and formulation of crop protection products, fertilizers and animal feed.
