DENVER – November 11, 2014 – Jim Loar, vice president of Operations of Wilbur-Ellis’ Agribusiness Division, was awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree at the 2014 National FFA Convention and Expo in Louisville, KY. Loar was recognized for his contributions in making long-term differences in the lives of students and inspiring confidence in a new generation of agriculturalists.
“I’m so humbled to have received an award from one of the most highly-respected organizations in the agricultural industry,” said Loar. “It’s great to know that the work FFA is doing is having a positive impact on our future Ag leaders. I proudly accept this award and am also grateful to work for a company that supports FFA both financially and with time and talents.”
The award is given to those who advance agricultural education and FFA through outstanding personal commitment and is approved by the National FFA Organization Board.
