SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. — Aug. 5, 2008 — Wilbur-Ellis Co. today announced that its international specialty industrial and food ingredients division, Connell Bros. Company, Ltd., has taken full control of its Taiwan operations by repurchasing the shares owned by its minority partner, Tong Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd.

Connell Bros. and Tong Hsing have long been partners in Taiwan. Beginning in 1962, Tong Hsing served as a Connell Bros. office, representing the company throughout Taiwan. In 1992, the two companies launched the joint venture that became CBC Taiwan.
CBC Taiwan is a leading distributor of specialty industrial and food ingredients in Taiwan, representing world-class principals in the Taiwan market.
